Personal
A Little History: My wife, Jennifer, and I were born and raised in Singapore. We both graduated in 1989, Accounting for her, and Electrical Engineering for me. We ran a thriving computer networking company in Singapore from 1992 - 1999. We decided to take a break from managing 20 employees, by going back to school for a second degree, for self-actualization. The plan was to resume running the business after that. CSU was the first to accept us, so within months, we went from decision to arriving in Fort Collins in Aug 1999. We knew little about Fort Collins - Lonely Planet described it as "part cow-town, part college town". We were of course more than impressed within months of arriving. I had a change of heart and quit school in Sep 99. Three days later, I was challenged to help a ministry called ISI (Int'l Students Inc). I felt wrong to say no, since I was available and at a crossroad, so I thought I would volunteer for a week. Well, that turned into 6 wonderful years of ministry from 1999 to 2005. I was ordained in 2002. Meanwhile, my daughter Alyssa was born in 2000 and we decided Colorado made an ideal home to raise a family. It was a miracle how our F1 student VISA converted to an R1 work VISA, and then we got our Green Card. We are convinced we were meant to be here. Today, we are a blessed family of 4. God sent baby Isaiah our way through domestic adoption - his biological mother is from Ohio. Alyssa is now 11 and in 5th grade. She loves school and she is very creative. Isaiah will be 4 in April and just the sweetest boy. Over the years, our lives and marriage have been transformed through our growing faith in God and His Son. At our church (LifePointe Church), I was honored to be on the pastoral search team. I also co-teach adult Sunday School sometimes and am especially passionate about the Kingdom of Heaven and its huge implications for all. I am a member of Kingdom Advisors, a nationwide network of Christian financial advisors, that strives to maintain the highest standards of integrity and faith-based practices amongst its members. I am also a member of the Rotary Club of Fort Collins, through which I feel much more connected to the community of Windsor and Fort Collins. As God enables, Jennifer and I hope to increasingly give back locally, regionally and globally in the years to come.
